How does the TYPEMYKNIFE® 3D engraving configurator work?
On our website, you can choose your favourite model from over 350 knives and add your own design to the blade. We’ll engrave your image in deep black and with precision onto your personalised knife.
Finding the perfect kitchen knife for you is really easy.
There are two ways: directly via the menu or via the shop in the product details view.
Use the search function to find a knife by purpose or manufacturer.
Once you’ve found your knife, click the “Configurator” button.
The knife is loading as a 3D model – hang in there, it’s quite a large file and will use up all your processing power. It’ll take a moment.
Open YOUR DESIGN
Alternatively, you can also upload SVG files.
When uploading a photo, please note that black-and-white images provide better contrast for processing.
You can now adjust, enlarge, rotate and flip your design.
Then turn the knife over and work on the other side of the blade, or choose between the front and back.
You can add text to both sides of the blade. A selection of fonts is available.
Ready? Then click “ORDER NOW”. Your design will be saved in your account under “SAVED KNIVES”.
Use the social media button “SHARE” and send screenshots of your design straight to your friends.
Once you’re happy with your selection and have checked everything, click on “PROCEED TO CHECKOUT”.

Despite the durable engraving, the knife should never be washed in the dishwasher. This applies to all high-quality kitchen knives.
Harsh cleaning products and salts can damage the steel and the handle material. The knife may develop small patches of rust and will definitely become blunt.
Please note: Wooden handles must not be put in the dishwasher under any circumstances. Furthermore, fruit acids generally corrode stainless steel knives.
Gentle hand washing ensures a long service life and lasting sharpness.
