Terrible Sven is a powerful dagger inspired by legends about pirates and sea monsters of the seas.</h4 > Hurricane, raging seas between Åland and the archipelago. On the way to new raids is the terrible Sven. Knife in hand whipping his team to peak performance.
Rows men rows. On the horizon a ship, the Danish Devils, known for their uncompromising ruthlessness in the fight for booty on the high seas.
1000 years later archeology divers find oak planks at the bottom of the Baltic Sea. Due to the unique water and climate conditions of the Baltic Sea intact.
Holding such a piece of wood in the hand was the starting point for a new creation for the knife manufacturer TYPEMYKNIFE. The terrible Sven’s knife.
The blade is in the shape of a cutlass, also known as a cutlass, a particularly long stabbing weapon. The blade is made of Böhler-Uddeholm carbon steel 80 CrV2 by the Finnish cutlers Anssi. It reaches a hardness of 59° HRC.
It is made of carbon steel and therefore not rustproof. It is a further development of the Finnish Tommi blade. The blades are diamond-shaped and have the greatest material thickness in the middle of the blade.
The guard is shaped like the pointed ends of an anchor, made of solid 925 sterling silver. Two vignettes are worked into the ferrule, on which symbolically a Viking ship can be seen at sea.
The oak shaft is a piece of oak plank found on a medieval ship by archeology divers. Salvaged from the Sund off Stockholm.
Due to the long storage in the mud of the Baltic Sea, the wood has permanently impregnated itself and assumed its characteristic almost black color.
The wood is designed with screwed fluting. The end of the handle forms a very finely detailed Viking ship that appears to be floating on a sea of engraved silver waves.
The ship is entirely handcrafted. Each Viking shield, each plank, the sail and the dragon head are assembled from individual silver parts.
The sea is set in an ornament band, a so-called gallery band made of 925 sterling silver.
The entire scene is emphasized in a three-dimensional, high-contrast manner by blackening and polishing the material.
A massive piece of knife tells of legendary coasts and the smell of tar and seaweed.
