The Michelin-star chef from the fine dining RS restaurant serves delicious regional dishes. He gained his experience at the Hotel Sonne Post in Murrhardt and with the bosses Heinz Winkler and Harald Wohlfahrt as well as at Negresco in Nice and at Al Borgo in Roverto. With seasonal ingredients from the region and global spices from all over the world, he offers a terroir-based cuisine with a focus on nature and respect for the environment.
Rolf Straubinger and his knife design is characterized by the silhouette of Staufeneck Castle and his creativity from the multi-award-winning Fine Dining Restaurant RS.
We have implemented his design wishes based on old postcard motifs for the castle and images of his food creations from the Fine Dining RS and adapted them to the shape of a knife blade. The drafts are coordinated with him and then prepared for our laser technology in the further process.
The kitchen knife that Rolf Straubinger chose is the finest Italian elegance and perfect craftsmanship from the Coltelleria Saladini Scarperia region of Florence.
The blade steel consists of X46CR13 carbon steel, drop-forged and achieves a hardness of 56-57°HRC.
The knife has a 25 cm long blade and has a Bocote wooden handle with a beautifully curved, hand-flattering grip shape.
