The blade of the artist’s knife is Linder stainless steel with a blade length of 15 cm. The rustproof stainless steel 440A – X 70 Cr Mo 15 from the Messerstadt Solingen, Germany.

With a very high carbon content and excellent hardness in the range of 56°HRC.

The dagger blade is double-edged, symmetrical and matt polished. Like everything else in the knife manufactory, the guard is handcrafted as a one-off.

It is made of 925 sterling silver, deepened hollow in silversmith technique.

The handle material consists of African grenadilla and ebony. Both from old stock, which is separated from each other by a silver spacer.

The shape of the handle reflects Brancusi’s characteristic stele geometry.The hilt ends in a historicized, neo-Romanesque building en vogue in 19th-century Paris.
