Tilight of the Gods, Valkyries, Sigfried bathes in dragon blood. The stuff for an operatic knife.
Die Götterdämmerung, the fourth part of the Ring of Nibelungen. Wagner’s epochal work inspired the title of this medieval-looking dagger.
The Damascus blade is bright and strong like the hero Siegfried, the handle is dark and broken like the intrigues Hagens. The crown is an expression of rule and power, Wotan and creation.
The blade is hand-forged from carbon steel 1095 and 15N20 steel with a hardness of 60° HRC and 192 layered damask. It comes from the blade forge Brisa AB in Finland.
The blade shape is shaped in the style of a Nordic Tommi blade. The guard and the ferrule are made of 925 sterling silver and are highly polished.
The handle is structured in rhombus-shaped pyramids. Each pyramid ends with an inserted silver nail forming the apex.
The handle is made of black buffalo horn. The diamonds offer a high grip and the silver nails prevent wear.
Structure and play of colors, the hard edges of the pyramids are reminiscent of early medieval armor. The continuous tang is connected to a silver double crown.
She sits on a ring reminiscent of Siegfried. Wotan’s pagan jagged crown with pearl tips surrounds the inner Christian miter crown.
Inside is a red hemispherical coral. The red coral is the symbol for the expulsion of evil powers and symbolizes life force.
The Twilight of the Gods, Hagen spinning his intrigues in a wonderfully devious way, a dandy with a dagger. A failed womanizer.
