Gyuto Japanese all-purpose damask knife

with a blade length of 16,5 cm and a handle of Staghorn.

Gyuto actually means cattle knife but is the Japanese all-purpose knife

Here Japanese and European knife tradition are combined in perfection.

The blade is ground asymmetrically in the traditional Japanese way. Flat on one side and slightly concave on the other.

The harder Shirogami Hagane carbon steel, so-called white steel, with a hardness of 62°HRC is laminated between the softer Damascus steel sides .

The knife handle is crowned by a medieval castle. It is handcrafted in the Thomas Raschke manufactory using goldsmithing techniques.

The castle is made of 925/ooo sterling silver. The walls and battlements symbolize the values of the stronghold, strength, power and security.

The handle is made from a solid piece of stag horn from a stately figure eight.

The natural, left surface at the end of the booklet is associated with the rugged Burgfels.

The deer horn handle tapers towards the blade and ends smooth and highly polished in a silver ferrule that is shaped in the classic Japanese handle shape.
